Sensei Mario Reis, currently living in Brazil, was one of the best competitors and teachers out of Mario Sperry`s school in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Mario Reis retired from competitions and have focused on mentoring and teaching Jiu Jitsu to his students all over the World.
Master Mario Reis visits True North BJJ Academy once a year for belt promotion and technical evaluation/development of our instructors.

Sensei Giacomo is the technical responsible for our jiu jitsu programs at True North BJJ Academy and our students are inspired daily by his teachings. Sensei Giacomo moved to Canada in 2011 to teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in North Vancouver Canada.
Sensei Giacomo is passionate about teaching beginners from all walks of life dedicating 20 years of his life to the the gentle art.

Multiple Times Provincial Champion CBJJF.
Coach Ramtin joined True North Jiu Jitsu in 2015 and quickly displayed natural talent to martial arts. In addition to his physical attributes, coach demonstrated tremendous discipline and work ethic through his years of training becoming a beginners and kids specialized instructor.
Coach Ramtin main inspiration is making our kids champions on and off the mats.

Coach Rafaela splits her time into being a mom, teaching and competing. The balance between a busy mom life and jiu jitsu training made Coach Rafaela grow very fast as a fierce competitor and a caring instructor therefore becoming an inspiring model for our students.
Our kids class is designed by Coach Rafaela to be fun, engaging and challenging for our little ones.
